If he's stupid he does. Sorry, it was the first thought that came to mind. Let me put it a little better. Hell no!! No, sorry, I can do better. Oh here ... A more intelligent man would consider the repercussions of his words before he utters them, and therefore would not make such comparisons if he valued peace, quiet, sex, sleeping in the same bed with you, or just sleeping soundly knowing that he won't be harmed in any way during the night (wink).
But really, that's not a good practice and a little bit weird!
Wait, this guy's your ex? ... then you finally got fed up with his $#*%. I guess he can eat at his sister's, hunh?

You should have nothing to deal with. This man is a monster the next time he lays a hand on you no matter where you are you should call the police. There is a reason he has an x wife. He treated her bad and now treating you even worse. Get out before it's too late.

it sounds like he's obsessed with the wrong people. It's normal for a guy to compare his gf or wife to his mother and sisters but it's not normal to be obsessed with them and to point out why they are better then you. He has little respect for you and that is probably why he's your ex-husband. Leave it that way and stop bothering with his immature crap! Ignore him.

Well he definitely shouldn't be saying you're not good enough and that crap, but I wouldn't mind if I was compared to my boyfriend's sisters casually. I mean, they say women marry someone like their fathers, and men marry someone like their mothers, so I could see where if he was close to his sisters than he'd want someone like his sisters.
What you described is ridiculous though, and I bet the truth behind it is that his sisters were either miserable or just had the appearance of being so successful.

Well he's also not married to her so he doesn't know what goes on behind closed doors. I think its normal to a certain extent for a husband to compare his wife with the women who influenced his upbringing and his home while growing up. Its just then he has to realize he can't marry them and needs to find a woman who he will cherish for her, not for her similarity to family members.

He is an 'ex'. Why are you putting so much energy into this..that was so yesterday. Today, you should be concentrating on tomorrow and a future, not wallowing in the past. Get going now. A new world awaits those who have positive energy..you are filled with negative energy. Dump it at the nearest waste station and move on. Good luck

What your saying is not at all healthy. The best part? you got yourself out of that situation. So stop dwelling on it and get yourself to move on. I'm sure your a great mother or partner so be with someone who truly appreciates the real you. If anything take the positive from this experience:now you know you should be with someone who wants you for who you are, not for who they want you to be. best wishes!

Honey, stop thinking about your EX husband....He is your EX for good reasons!
IF you cannot untie yourself from him, he will continue to keep hold of you. In order for you to be free from him, you have to LET GO and this means working hard at not letting his memory be constantly in your head.
Go to therapy, seek counseling or a pastor or priest, ask for people to pray for you or get antidepressants but do something today....
If you continue down this path, you will become bitter and sarcastic. And nobody likes to be around these kind of people. Good luck...Take care of yourself now...Forget about him and his family.

My husband has compared me to his sister some time but not very often. nothing like what you are getting. The only thing mine says to me is that we act alike in certain aspects and situations.
