You should get the vehicles computer scanned and check for any problems as well as codes and then you will have a good idea on what the problem truly is.

There are numerous items that can cause your abs light to be on. A faulty module,a computer problem, possibly even a fuse. Depending on the make and model of vehicle, you may be able to unplug the module for a few minutes and plug it back in and it sometimes will clear the light, but it will not correct the problem. Your vehicle will have to be checked by a qualified mechanic to determinr the problem. Hope this helps

Well either your abs brakes went bad and wont work anymore (happened in our old Chevy astro van) OR you light is always on to tell you that you have abs brakes there's a light in my moms car for her ABs that is always on. You could call your dealer service center thought and ask them if its supposed to be on or not that would give you a definite answer.

Because you have a malfunction in your ABS system. Probably a bad wheel sensor.

There is a fault, most likely in one of your wheel sensors and the ABS has turned itself off until you get it fixed. good luck
