Driving with the windows down and the wind pushing agaisnt the car or turning on the ac and not having wind resisitance?
I use a small Dodge usually.

They did a thing on Mythbusters about this. It seems that it is cheaper to run with the windows down and the AC off,

Watch mythbusters above 70 is best with AC and 55 or below the windows down is best.

Popular mechanics did a study, they found for the fuel mileage you'd save, the best idea was to run AC. AC reduces driver fatigue and enhances driver comfort. So few few pennies more, ....it's a smart choice.

This to me, is a so/so question.
When you run the ac, it pulls hp. from the engine.
On the other hand, windows down, does decrease milage at higher speeds.
