You are not suppose to get your period when you are pregnant. If this is happening to you then you might want to contact your doctor

Ok,Ive read the answers below and Im astounded that people who havent a clue have the nerve to answer your question!
I bled in every one of my three , no four pregnancies! You can get what is like a light period. It may go on for a while, or stop and start. It is not uncommon at all. It is not dangerous, although at the start when this happens to you you might be convinced you are going to miscarry.
I had PMS up to due period time then bled a little, over a few weeks.
some people do get it over several months or even the whole of the pregnancy. however it is worth mentioning it to your Dr, and or midwife, both to make sure there is no other reason and also for your own reassurance.
It is not a "true" period if it is the spotting....as you won't lose the baby.
however bear in mind it is the same symptoms for early signs of miscarriage too. Just take it easy and look after yourself!

I wish you loads of luck

It's possible for some, but not many. If you think you are pregnant, take the test.

A period or lack there of is a great way to tell if you're pregnant. It's the uterine lining being discharged. That's it. Most doctors will tell you that women who get their periods during pregnancy are spotting heavily.

If a women is pregnant and they bleed, then they should go to the doctor immediately, to be checked out. Though everyone is different, my sister was thought she had a heart murmour when in fact she was 5 months pregnant, she wasn't showing, and she had periods. So it is possible though it needs to be checked. My niece is nearly 5 now.

I spotted a little bit the first month when I should have started my period, but it was not like a period. usually my periods are 5 days and medium. this was a light spotting.
you can get a cheap pregnancy test at walmart and end the worry.

Although it's not very common, some women can have their period regularly throughout their whole pregnancies. It is totally okay, although if it is very heavy you may want to have the doctor check it out just to make sure.

yes but mus less flow and slight more pain than usual. But have known that it all varies from P to P and so we cannot make any rightful conclusions but only probablities.
