air pads in their feet helps them stick to the wall using vacuumand suction force.when dust is accumulated vacuum force decreases as well as when they like to jump, grip is loosened in the pad muscles and they fall.
it's a matter to study whether they at all fall.chances are rarest.

The technical part of the question has already been answered.
What makes a gecko fall? It does not fall by accident! If it 'falls', it chooses to do so...
Here is the main reason:
The gecko sees you as a threat to its life. In the wild, geckoes have many enemies, including bigger lizards.
It 'falls' to the ground/ or the nearest wall to make its escape. Whether or not it allows itself to fall, or whether it actually jumps, I am not sure, though.
From what I have observed, geckos usually keep dead still most of the time.
What attracts a gecko to a house?
Food scraps and bugs. No scraps and no bugs equals no geckoes. But the irony is - a house with a gecko is often a bug-free house! Geckoes usually disappear if there's nothing to eat. A house might also be a refuge from rival geckoes.

Oh guy... I soooo omit socmum16. She became so cool. She hosted some fairly relaxing stuff. the countless very proper then are nonetheless right here. The avatar above/below video games listed below are much less relaxing and kinda mindless...inspite of the undeniable fact that Jeff s and that i performed a clean sport this night that became hysterical, ROAMing became by far the funnest. Seeing Debra M's call additionally isn't person-friendly.

gekcos i know in particular and probably all lizards, have feet with very very small rides placed closely together, in a similiar and unique pattern like your thubprint, when pressed against surfaces , say glass, they create a little sucction cup. mutiple this by several million little suction cups and you have a very sturdy lizard. not to mention i'm pretty sure there is a compound in their sweat that helps add to the suction, though that part could be wrong.

They can fall.
I have seen them fall.
The explanation about suction cups is correct, they have batter suction on smooth surface then on rough surface. the same tiny cup actually grab the rough surface.
They do us great service by eating insects. They are harmless but must not be allowed, in eating area they can carry bacteria on the cup and body that can get in the food and make you sick. They must be chased out of the home, let them stay outside and guard home.

Strong Magnetic system....hahaha... not know...sooowiiie
i think the bottom of a gecko's foot bears about half a million microscopic hairs called setae, helps them to grab the surface so closely that they interact with its molecular structure.

these little lizards (ghekos)that stick on the walls and ceilings are very usefull they eat mosquitos and these little flies that bite as well as a variety of flying insects that come to the lights in yopur house ,we never kill them
great to have around
they have little suckers on their feet ,sometimes one lands on me by mistake and it feels like rubber when they walk on you
they are friends of humanity
and yes they sometimes do fall because of dust on the ceiling and the suckers dont work
