There are, in fact, 100 Senators. If you're just talking about Illinois, the other U.S. Senator is Dick Durbin.

You of course are correct - the permanent Senator is Obama. The second Senator is selected at random on a rotating daily basis - I believe that today's second Senator is Billy Kufs from Auburn, NY - and tomorrow it is going to be Pat Benatar the former rocker......
