After 74, they should just have learner's permits and be
required to have a licensed driver over 18 with them at all
times. It isn't easy dodging old codgers. I like "T-boned."
10 points to you! Best phrase I heard today.

not really a limit, since some older drivers are way more competent than others. however, making more frequent road skills tests a requirement after a certain age wouldn't be a bad idea. that guy could just as easily been a 16 year old in a car. its not age, its road skills and attentiveness that make the diff

Definitely !
My hubby was driving a semi and an old lady just slammed her brakes on ! There was nowhere to go other than oncoming traffic or the ditch. He hit the ditch and hit an electric pole got pretty banged up, but the car behind him
rammed into the old lady ! So Mark (my hubby) went to
the old lady's car after he called 911 to see if she was okay,
He got the crap scared out of him, because there was red
stuff all over her and the seats, he thought it was blood !
She was crying, but she was alright, the red stuff was actually spaghetti sauce that she was taking to her daughters' house.
And she slammed on the brakes, because she couldn't remember if she had turned off her stove !!!!

70 is too old. My ex mother in law (god rest her soul) should have had hers taken at that age. She got into accidents and even hit her own car with the garage door! I think about her every now and then and about those times, still wish she was around to enjoy life though.

I think they should be tested starting at 65 (which is old for some and they might hate wearing glasses) and every 5 years thereafter!! What if some fool hit a carload of kids??

They definitely should. I think it's ridiculous that they get to go so long without having to retake their test. Starting at a certain age, they should take a driving test each year when they renew their registration!! It's dangerous!!
