How do you feel about men making their wife or girlfriend give herself a 'silent spanking' in public?

I have known several men that make their wife or girlfriend give herself a 'silent spanking' if she were to 'act up' in public. This consists of making her go to the bathroom and applying Capsaicin creme on her bottom. As you know, this creme will cause an intense burning sensation on any skin tissue it comes into contact with. When the woman comes out of the restroom she will constantly be reminded of why she is to behave right (because of her 'burning' bottom). The reason they do this is because a lot of people look down on men spanking their wives in public for being bad. This method is very discrete. I however, totally disagree with it because for one, the woman might just put a little amount on so it won't be effective and two (and most important) it is just too mean. I believe in giving woman the classic 'look' that tells them silently they better straighten up. If they don't, you pull them away from everyone and spank her privately (with a discussion). Who is right here?

That is mean and women may only pretend to put it on.
A private spanking would be best and a lecture to explain to her exactly what she did wrong.
Women shouldn't even be bad in the first place and they do deserve a punishment though, like you said, that "silent spanking" one is a little harsh....
Actually women shouldn't have to be disciplined at all...they should be so submissive and obedient that thye wouldn't need it!
Way too many women in America are feminist and it's messing up our country, it would be so much more peaceful if women could just relaize that they are below men and are going to have to learn to live with it.

I like your way better, especially the look. Sir, I will be so good that you will never have to spank me and or even give me a look, ever. I'll make sure that you are treated like a king (no joshing) and when we are out in public they'll look at us and say "he's an important man, look at how his wife carries herself."

I've never heard of men doing this but don't doubt that there might be some out there who use this as a punishment.

Personally, I don't see the benefit from it. If your wife's behavior is that much of an issue, take her to the side and let her know, in no uncertain terms, that once home she is due for a severe spanking. That will straighten her up right away!

Spanking should never be used as a punishment. Spanking should only be for mutual fun. Applying this cream before leaving the house sound like a fun kind of foreplay that will last until the two of you get back home.

I wouldn't recommend doing this very often. However, if you absolutely need to teach really naughty girls (SlimShadyGirl for example) a lesson once and for all, then this would probably be the best strategy in doing so.

Both have their merit. My husband has a look that tells me I am in for it and uses it well or a light pinch on the inside of my elbow. The creme is immediate and effective (I would think) And if she does not put enough on would that be a good obedient girl?

Geezzzzzz are you kidding me? I have never even heard of that... let alone would even do it! I am only for the mean/stern looks in public if you feel your spouse is being too friendly with the opposite sex. Other than that I believe spouses should NOT punish each other at all.
