They say that your mind does present images, but it isn't what you would consider seeing in your dreams by your standards. But science agrees that they "see" something.

I would think they have dreams that they can "see" in a different way. However they haven't been able to form visual perception of the world so they wouldn't be having physically "visual" perceptions in the dream state. You can't dream about something that you've never seen before. (and If you have I'd be willing to bet it would be the result of some kind of hallucinogenic.let me elaborate a bit more. You can dream about things that you have impressions of even things that don't exist because you have probably seen images on the tv screen or some other media form. But it is highly improbable that you have dreamt of something that you haven't seen in some form or another. Does that make any sense?

I would personally think not as they have no real imagantion as such, as they have never seen anything so you. A bit like me describing an animal to you that you have never seen or heard of before, it would be quite difficult even though you have an idea of the concept of animals. A born blind person wouldn't have any concept of anything visual.

I know computers dream in binary - lol.

Since the blind have the other four senses compensate, then i guess they can use those to dream as well. Wecan hear, feel, and possibly taste and smell, perhaps they can too.

WOW. I have never thought of that. Great question but I don't know the answer. How would they know what anything looks like to dream about it?

I would say definitely no! I'm not blind but am unable to dream accurately about places I have never been or not seen before!

No they can't see in their dreams; they experience things the way they do in their waking state with the senses they do have. There is no way they can see in their dreams because there is nothing for them to base that sensory input on.

That's a good question, but I don't think anyone can answer that question besides God. If they haven't seen People, trees, everything, how would they dream about them?

I have read this someplace before, and the blind person said they were able to see in their dreams. I'm sure this was the subconscious mind at work. I say yes to this question.

yeah I have always wondered that too. I will have to find someone who was born blind and ask them.
