You *could* use Bon Jovi's "I'll Be There For You" - it's a little cheesy, but it says a lot. "I'll be there for you/these five words I swear to you/when you breathe I wanna be the air for you/"
My friend used "Damn I Wish I was Your Lover" - it's not a rock song, but it worked - he married her.
