Personally i wouldnt make either deal. You mention you could use a pitcher yet you would give up a guy (Zambrano) that will be among baseballs best. Dont give up on Berkman...he is a stud and will pull out of his funk, remember it is still early. If you could give up another pitcher instead of Zambrano then the 2nd deal would be a very good one. Give your guys time to warm up, you have good players who just havent heated up yet but if you can find a good deal where you could get Cabrera and Wells but otherwise just be patient....it is a long season and nobody ever won a fantasy baseball league in May.

The first offer is horrible for you.
You say you need a 3B and OF, you'd give up Berkman (OF) and Sosa (OF) for Francouer (OF)? That's making your outfield worse and not addressing your 3B problem.

The second trade is better for you. Always look at your gains/losses at each position
1B/OF - Gain: Wells Lose: Sosa, Berkman Overall: close
SS - Gain: none Lose: Hall Overall: depends on back-up
3B - Gain: Cabrera Lose - none Overall: vast improvement
Pitching - Gain: Moyer Lose: Zambrano Overall: worse
Overall: Gain: 3B Lose: Pitching

As good as Zambrano is going to be the rest of this year, you can't lose this opportunity to get Cabrera. Not only is it a close deal, but you get to add your favorite free agent as well.

The second deal is by far better. You are giving up a bit much, but if you already have solid pitching than you should not have to worry about Zambrano. Although he is off to a slow start, he will turn it around. Francour strikes out way too much and it affects his average. Cabrera is an absolute stud, and Well has power and speed. Unbeatable.

i would get the second one. You get Miguel Cabrera and Vernon Wells. Bill Hall sucks and Sammy Sosa won't put up great numbers this year. Your only hit will be Lance Berkman.

Miguel Cabrera and Vernon Wells are 1st - early 2nd rd picks. Francour / Polanco .... not so much. The second deal is way better.

I like the second deal you listed. Sosa wont keep this up all year, and Cabrera is a first round pick. You give up too much in the first offer.

I would take the second trade, Vernon Wells is the answer to the offensive issues. He helps every catagory. If Jamie Moyer gets run support he will win and always have a low era.

Honestly, If you're getting owned in runs, I wouldn't trade Lance Berkman, cause he's an overall good hitter. It's early in the season and he might not be warmed up yet, but just you wait, he will be.

the second deal is by far the better deal. getting Cabrera alone is great not to mention Wells on top of that.
