Recieved a e-mail asking that people using the internet not purchase gasoline on May 15th...Am I the only one recieving it?Well I will not buy gas that day.How about joining me?Thanks for nice replys--negatives not wanted.....

I got it from a bunch of people. So everyone gas up the day before or you will be hated by all the internet people.
You will not be able to show your face in cyber space again.

That just means everyone will buy their gas the day before or the day after. It won't cut back on actual gas consumption.
That email goes around every few months or so.

That email is nothing new, it's been around for years. Look it up on the Urban Legends web site. In fact whenever you get an email like that, look on that site, they will debunk them and tell you the history and basically are in awe of how gullible people still are.

I get one of these emails every week or more often than that. they are just hyped up media plays to see if they can get people to join in.
