It's completely normal for a straight female to find another female attractive. I am sure she has admirable traits that you are drawn to, and I don't think there is a problem with that. I am a straight female, but I'll be the first to compliment a beautiful woman.

Some girls are gay or bi at your age. You won't really know until you try. If you think about kissing her and mushy feelings about her and you think of her a lot instead of boys, then you're probably gay. If you go for boys and girls then you might be bisexual. I don't believe in "phases." You are young, but even young people have feelings, whatever they are. The girls who stick to boyfriends and ignore their feelings for other girls are the same ones who are still turned-on by females the rest of their lives! Time will tell if you're bi or what.

It's fine to accept and appreciate that someone is physically beautiful.
However, just because you have this natural appreciation doesn't automatically mean you've taken this unconscious leap into the realm of perverted sexual attraction. This is what the modern-day "pink hand mafia" would like you to believe.
On a side note, why are you allowing stuff like this to distract you in school? Remember, you're there for a real education. Don't get too distracted and mixed up in popular culture.

You're only 12. You've probably still got a few years before you get this whole sexuality thing figured out. Just take things a day at a time and accept whatever sexual desires you have.

I agree with Kent. You have plenty of time to figure it all out. Just go with the flow! If you have feelings for another girl, maybe you just admire her. Then again, if it's more than that, in the end, you'll know. Just be prepared that if you are into girls (even if you're not gay, but bi), you have a tough life ahead of you!
Don't try to figure it out now. Just enjoy life.
