Every city, county and state has some kind of license requirements. Go to city hall and ask them. They will be happy to help you.If you plan to work in more than one city, you will have to check with the other city too.
Check with the state contractors board about licensing. Don't wait until a licensed contractor turns you in for contracting without a license. That is how it works. If you are doing wrong, the competition will turn you in. Good luck in your new business. Kenny

Depends on how you are advertising your services. Check with your Registrar of Contractors in your area and see what the requirements are.

BTW, it TYPE, not TIPE.
