Wow, this one is making me go back into my brain..too many cobwebs.....

Remember the story of Pavlov and his work with dogs. He worked with these dogs, feeding them to find out how their digestive system worked. When they would walk into the room with the food a bell on the door would ring everytime. Then when people would walk into the room without food they found the dogs would salivate. The bell would cause them to salivate. So The Bell is the ANtecedent, The Behavior is the dogs salivating and the consequence is that the dogs were reinforced to salivate everytime the bell rang. Classic stuff.

By the way, Take some time and get this down because you will see it over and over and over again..... Mine as well get it know... ha ha

Good Luck

Most likely it stands for Antecedent, Behavior, Consequence. It is usually a tool to figure out a cause of a behavior. So it is, What happened before the behavior (What was going on? Was it loud, were there demands, low attention etc.), What the behavior was (including frequency and intensity), and what happened after the behavior (i.e. time-out, told the person "no", gave him food to calm him down.) If you use this tool you can identify triggers and possible reinforcers to the behavior in question.
Hope that helps.
