Ted Kennedy invited the American Civil Liberties Union,
the National Immigration Law Center, the National Council
of La Raza, the Service Employees International Union,
the Chamber of Commerce and the Essential Worker
Immigration Coalition to help him craft his
comprehensive immigration-reform bill. Completely ignored in this process are American citizens!

I am outraged, that any attempt to draft a legitimate
immigration bill that would satisfy the American people
has been stolen away by "open-border" lobbyists! This is an issue that both sided seem to be closer in agreement on. I'm off to fax my reps and Kennedy as well...........

Steve--how dense you are to believe that a majority of Americans want to cut and run. Most KNOW we have to stay until Iraq is stabilized. You libs scream when civilians are killed now--what will you do when we pull out prematurely and the violence increases? And you're calling me a hypocrit? Now about immigration....the vast majority of the AMERICAN people want reform and no amnesty for the criminals who broke our laws to get here. Have some more kool-aid. I think you'd like the fruit punch.

Nice. Two socialists show up to bash on you for asking a completely logical question.

There is no doubt that those named groups must be there. Otherwise, we end up bogged down in litigation.

But those groups are not Anytown, USA. They all represent special interests and minorities.

In the immigration debate the only people voicing the American people are Conservative Talk Radio sprinkled in with a few Conservatives on T.V.

A typical response from a Liberal is to deflect your question onto the war in Iraq. Amazing stuff.

Oh, Ted can do what he likes - that's his prerogative as a Senator. Chances of anything that he writes getting through the Senate (to say nothing of the House!) about 4 out of 100. I won't mention the possible veto. I don't dislike Ted - his policy outlook, however is way to the left of the average liberal or centrist. Don't worry - this issue will get thrashed out very well by all sides. Good question!

It's called the ballot. Your voice is your vote when it comes to American Politics. The US is a REPRESENTATIVE democracy and not a direct democracy.

What a hypocrite you are...you b*tch about American citizens not being involved in immigration reform, but also think it is fine that Bush ignores the will of Americans by continuing the war in Iraq. Which is it? Do we have a say or do we not have a say?

What are you talking about? So the "American" Civil Liberties Union is not American enough for you? Or are they not white enough for you? Is that it? So what your saying is the bill would not satisfy YOU. You are one of many.
