Wait, didn't you say you are a foreign national? You aren't an American citizen. You have no say, nor any right to a say, in our politics.

I do wonder where you're from. What is your motivation for Bush bashing? Are you perhaps from Iraq, Iran, or the caves of Afganistan? Are our military forces interferreing with your leader's objectives? Is that why you want Bush out of the way? The tone of your rant suggests you are more than an uninvolved third party.

Our system is based on checks and balances. After the veto, the bill will go back to Congress. If they can pass the bill with 2/3 majority, then the bill will become effective regardless of whether Bush signs it or not. Therefore, there is a way for us to get around a Presidential veto so that one man does not have all the power; however, that will not happen since many republicans just stand by their man instead of doing what their constituents want... I can totally understand where you're coming from though; Bush is going against what the majority of Americans want.

Gosh, it's sure nice to listen to some one who knows what he's talking about. You not that one.
For one thing, Bush does not dictate to anyone. The constitution is set up in such a way as to give the president the authority to conduct war. That was figured out by the Romans almost three thousand years ago.
Fast decisions must be made during times of great emergency. Politicians take months or years to argue serious points.

If the American president always caved to the will of the typically anti-war American people, then the world would be ruled by the Third Reich. Keep that in mind. War is bad, but the average citizen just plain doesn't want it, and doesn't weigh the consequences of not fighting it.

Is there a question in there somewhere? We elect officials and they take it from there. We gave him permission to act on our behalf. That's how it works.
