This is the problem that I got on my homework:

Acetylcholine esterase, 3.0 mg, was dissolved in 10.0 mL solution. From this solution, 0.60 mL was added to the sample tube, bringing the volume to a total of 3.0 mL. How many mg of acetylcholine esterase did you have in the sample tube?

Has nothing to do with moles. It is just a percentage calculation

If 3.0 mg was dissolved in a 10.0 ml solution. Now you withdrew 0.60 ml of that solution. So you withdrew 6% of the original quantity.

So calculate 6% of your starting 3.0 mg and you have the answer

hmm... an aliquot...

3.0 mg *(0.60 mL / 10.0 mL) = mg acetylcholine esterase

Hint: Try converting to moles first.
