At death we are resting in the grave until judgement day, so ghosts cannot be true.
But wicked spirits abound in the earth.

Not the same as Danny Phantom, good show though. We are a soul trapped in a body. We control the body until it dies, then the soul leaves the body to move on. Ghosts are held back for any number of reasons. A strong love for a person or place, a fear of where we're going next, unfinished business, whatever. A ghost is essentially a person, just without the body using energy to manifest itself. Electronic devices, power lines, thunder storms (why most ghost stories start out with "it was a dark and stormy night), or whatever else. That's also why people catch "orbs" in photos at haunted places, orbs are natural energy which a ghost may use to manifest itself. Yes, ghosts are real, I have seen one, taken weird photos of things I can't explain, and heard other people's voices on audio recorders. But not like in shows like Danny Phantom or Ghostbusters (both are great though).

depend on how you define ghost.... the souls of the departed mortals do not return or stick around... what are seen as ghosts, are in fact evil spirits who mimic the departed. The forces of evil are very real and can cause great harm... if you see a "ghost" you should not try to interact with it in any way... leave the area if you can... Only those with The Authority of God Almighty may command evil spirits... Any of those of The True Christian Faith may command evil spirits to depart. do not take the danger of the forces of evil lightly... Satan is the prince of this earth and those he commands can and do cause troubles, and even death.
But if you think you see the ghost of your long dead great grandpa... you do not... no matter how convincing it may seem... the forces of evil know all about the living... and the departed and can mimic any one they want. very convincingly...

I don't know about Danny Phantom but yes, ghosts are real.
I've experienced them myself.

They're simply spirits who have left the body, but haven't gone to the light yet. Caught between dimensions.
