Absolutely not. I do everything in my power to avoid feeling miserable, and if I do end up feeling that way, I exert a great deal of willpower and effort to solve the problem as quickly as possible and get over it. My father killed himself due to a combination of depression and alcoholism, and I decided in my youth, when that happened, that I would never share such a fate.

No, but I've often wondered if some people do.
I think for the 'chemically balanced' individual (whoever that deems), it may be an addiction of sorts...serving some subconscious need...much how a rage-aholic rages to obtain attention, power, control and appeasement.

not really. i usually try to cheer myself up so that im not miserable....if you enjoy being miserable, wouldnt that make you happy? happy isnt miserable. lol.
