Honey, they have no real understanding of what it actually means to support the troops. They only parrot what the talking heads tell them to say.

My heavens, I under no circumstances were flashed, yet I did by accident flash some human beings once. i develop into contained in the health facility a even as back and keen to take a stoll to the merchandising section. nicely, I wasn't questioning about what i develop into wearing and, allow's merely say that those health facility gowns do not go away lots to the mind's eye on the bottom. The nurse got here up from in the back of me and positioned a blanket over my shoulders . . . i develop into questioning why it develop right into a touch drafty back there!

That is not what "support our troops" means. I suppose taking them out of harms way could possibly be placed into that category but I think that the general feeling is that that means a lot of things: Sporting yellow ribbons, ensuring that Congress sends enough money so the troops have the good gear, to ensure that injured troops are properly support in decent health care facilities. It isn't simply about where the troops are.

Because they aren't there and know nothing about combat. All they know is oil, futures and profit...oh, and government contracts (Corporate Welfare) with no strings attached, while they employ illegals to maximize their profits!

Republicans have never supported our troops. They cut the VA by 100 BILLION while the VA is overloaded currently with 105,000 Iraqi vets.

Nothing like being used for target practice for 3 years, which is the definition of "Stay the Course"!

I think they should all get a shot at riding in an unarmored Humvee in Iraq. Seems they haven't armored them either in the past 4 years!

We have looked at history and see that in Vietnam millions of people died becasue we left. In Afganistan people where killed and women oppressed by religious fanatics. What we need to learn is how to win in these situtations, not to avoid them. Neither libs or cons have yet to devise an answer for that. The reason they have not is because they both place party politics ahead of the country and the troops. We need more independant thinking people. People who are to afriad to place the needs of the country before the needs of their party, political ambishions and speacial interests.

I agree-a civil war should be fought by the citizens of the nation. I'm sure the troops want to fight for America rights not Iraq's.

The Cambodian reference posted above was typical Republican avoidance of the truth....

2 million Cambodians died because an evil government came to power as a direct result of our illegal, massive aerial bombardment of Cambodia.

If we hadn't bombed Cambodia back into the stone ages, the Khmer Rouge would never have come to power.

The Republican posting above also failed to mention that the United States pumped millions of dollars illegally into the Khmer Rouge in Thailand, after they were driven from Cambodia, after their genocide......we were trying to help the Khmer Rouge take back Cambodia and resume their genocide....because of our disdain for Vietnam (The Vietnamese drove out the Khmer Rouge)

So another Republican has been caught lying...par for the course.

Now to the initial question

Conservatives confuse corporate propagnda for the truth.

but they do so with willful ignorance

They are vicious cowards who down deep know our soldiers are serving as a private mercenary force for big oil.......but conservatives have never let the truth get in the way of their hateful beliefs.

Because we are passionate about our country! so passionate that we respect the men and women who have VOLUNTEERED to join the military and go to war. We support our troops by giving the respect due a person willing to die for what they believe in! We don't sit around in our lazyboy chair's shaking our heads saying what a pity! we honor the fallen by honoring the cause they fought and are still fighting and volunteering for. You act like we snuck up on them in the middle of the night and threw a sack over their heads, dropped them in the middle east and took the sack away.

Why do liberals think that by saying support our troops that we enjoy the fact they are at war.....It is possible to support the troops and not like the fact they are there at the same time.

Why do liberals want us out of Iraq, but want us in Darfur?, both are civil wars between ethnic groups.
