Democrats are ignoring important Iraq briefings conducted by General David Petraeus in an apparent effort to stymie efforts in Iraq. It is well known that they are not supportive of the troops in Iraq and the president's "surge" plan they are currently conducting, but whether they like the plan or not, to skip these briefings is an act of blatant negligence that borders on the criminal. So where is the MSM's outrage? Why are we not being told of this Democrat negligence?

They have an obligation and duty to the American people to attend these briefings. Their refusal to do so is nothing short of blatant neglect of duty and immoral.

I think Barrone's article did a fairly even-handed job of explaining the Democratic position: They must be seen as opposing the war but not as unfunding the troops.
An impossible tight-rope to walk, with good reason: It is hypocritical politicking.

Look at the voting and attendance records, both sides are guilty af major apathy unless a bill has pork for their campaign supporters attatched.

What is the purpose of attending a Bush puppet show headed by his #1 cheerleader in the Army?
The Congress has real business to deal with. The business of the people they serve. Not the will or pleasure of Emperor Bush. Perhaps you heard about the war funding stalemate? It was in all the news, even on Fox Tabloid.
General Petraeus has nothing new to add. He's going with what he is told to do.
