I went on vacation for about 6 weeks and when I came back, my Irish Spring "waterfall" bar of soap lost its smell totally. It just smelled like nothing. No fresh clean scent anymore! I'm wondering if anyone knows about this.

Aromatics put in soap, candles, and similar commodities are not much more than volatile organic compounds. They evaporate...go away....go bye bye. So take the others' advice and get a new bar...for all our sakes...

I don't use Irish Spring but I agree that can happen. I bought a bar of Pears in an airport hotel in KL Malaysia one time and its smell had gone. no telling how long this thing had been on their shelf.

All soap does this. So does scented candles, etc.
