You can go to the clinic and tell them you need to see someone, it's urgent. And it is.
Meantime: take a nice hot bath or shower at night, put on your comfiest nightie or pjs, have a hot soothing drink like herbal tea (chamomile is good, or some of the Celestial Seasonings teas). Read a good book you like, or listen to music, for about an hour before bed. Don't watch TV or be on the computer for at least 2 hrs before bed, the screen stimulates your brain.
Try to fill your mind with happy, comforting thoughts before bed. Listen to quiet instrumental music, or maybe do a jigsaw puzzle. Or even write a story or poem, about all the wonderful things you'd like to happen in your lifetime.
Thinking about death at your age and in your situation is normal. You're becoming an adult, you are no longer unaware of your mortality. That used to happen to me, I'd be doing whatever and then suddenly I'd realise that you don't live forever, that someday we're all going to die and the world will go on without us. It IS kind of dizzy-making, until you get used to the idea of mortality.
It helps if you have some kind of spiritual beliefs to cling to, if you have friends or a pastor you could talk to. If not, call the Samaritans or a helpline (even a suicide helpline, if you've been cutting)...they keep your calls confidential and are there to listen.
I'll pray for you...I don't know who you are, but God does.

What are you taking for your panic/anxiety attacks? I have had them and realize they are the worst possible things to deal with........as they don't make sense to start with. Your regular doctor can give you something light to help you sleep, right now. Talk to your doctor about this, as well as your parents. What do your parents say about this? I hope they are very supportive. You must check with a doctor before trying any medication to help you sleep..........as the medication needs to be alright to take while taking any other medications you may be taking. It is even possible that the meds you take now could help you more if taken at a different time of day. Your doctor needs to help you. Sleep is more than a luxery! We all must get sleep. Sleep deprivation is the LAST thing you need to contend with at this time. Ask for a doctor's help. Good luck, and I hope it is "Sweet Dreams" for you, soon.

You are not going to die in your sleep. You're only 16, and that never happens to people your age. Only old people die in their sleep. Bedtime is supposed to be a calm and relaxing time. Settle yourself into a little routine. Have a cup of camomile tea, listen to some soothing music, dim the lights and just relax yourself. Bad things don't necessarily happen when you are asleep. Can your therapist give you a prescription for sleeping pills or something that will calm you down at night?

It might be good to talk to your parents about what's going on. Also talking to a high power your circle - such as a minister or guidance couselor - while your therapist is gone might help too.

For bedtime, try reading a book or drinking warm milk and maybe put some soothing music on.

Hopefully this will help.

try leaving ur light on... and read a book.

Or I know that this is so old fashion, but seriously, try leaving ur light on and counting sheep.

Also you could put a little bell on your door so that u would no if someone is coming in...

What I used to do was hide under my covers and crawl into a ball and shut my eyes until I fall asleep.

Sry honey,

I hope that helps...
good luck

What about trying a sleep aide like Tylenol PM??? It will knock you out. I would suggest seeing a doctor though as soon as you can!
