Does my head in that, the way they assume we are all wanting an English team to do well just because they are playing a foreign team. Quite frankly Manchester United can get beat ten nil for all I care, in fact I hope they do hehe.

He he,me too,and I would say 80% of the country too.
Contrary to what United fans think(that we are all jealous of them) its absolutely not true,Liverpool are the most successful team in England,yet 80% of the country dont hate THEM.
They are hated because the manager and the fans are arrogant tossers,they have no concept of keeping quiet before a big match and so make themselves look massively stupid when it all goes pear shaped !!!

More important is why the media have the idea that we are interested in much of that they promote.
Sport, Celeb. Lifestyle. Many have no interest yet have to put up with the constant reporting.
Football is not the beautiful game - rather is it a business peopled by overpaid talentless people.
Celeb - a group of people who are lacking in social graces.
Lifestyle - catering to the greed of the disadvantaged.
Personally I have no interest in so much that is promoted through the media.
Starving! Living in poverty! Homeless! - Well I suppose they do occasionally pay lip service. And then move onto who is sleeping with who as if we care.

That comes from the mentallity " if your English you should get behind an English club!" cobblers! I'd much rather a foreign club win it then Chelsea or Man u, else we'd never hear the last of it.

Because it,s a huge bandwagon with a lot of outside vested interested and if any of these people don,t say and do the kind of things the powers that be at old trafford like to hear, then woe betide them, you know, like the refs as well, they all know what,s expected of them. Not for them a field of dreams, more a field of nightmares if they don,t do what man. u. expect them to do.
