For me they passed that mark when it went over $2.00.
Sold my car then and designed my life where I could live without a car. It is hard, infact immpossible for a family to do that. Most are in a situation that they have no choice but pay the price no matter how high it goes.

I nominate this QUESTION OF THE DAY, no make that YEAR!
My small car ate up about $33 last fill-up! ($2.80/gallon). When I first bought it a fill-cost $18-$20.
There must be a way we CAN have a choice, they are taking advantage of our willingness to do nothing and just keep paying the higher prices!
I can go on and on about this. I think the bicycle should become our new best friend.

I only feel forced to pay, they have us over a barrel.

Life was a lot less stressful when it hovered around 1.00/gal. But that is never going to happen again, so I try to just be grateful that I have a car to put gas in, there's gas to put in my car and at least for now money to pay for it.

Here in the Pacific Northwest it is hovering around the $3.50 mark, some of you are luckier than us.

Milk is $2.75 a gallon. Gas is $3.00 here. I work 20 miles from home so I have to buy it no matter how much it is. We'll just skip a few of the nonessentials like shampoo and deodorant.

We have 2 small businesses that require our employees to drive our 6 vans. We also have 2 cars and 2 trucks I hope it does not go to much higher $2.99 here . We have locking gas caps and check mileage daily. 2 years ago we had an employee who was filling his van and once a week his wife would meet him on his route and they would siphon the gas from his van to their car.

In Germany, I was paying about $4 a gallon 6 years ago, so in all reality we are just catching up to the rest of the world.

I'd have to assume that I'd be willing to pay whatever the cost is or else I wouldn't be driving. It's about the same price here for regular. Jax, Fl

$2.84 in Dallas right now. I try to conserve as much as possible but I live 40 minutes away from my job. It used to be 5 minutes tops but got transfered. Gas prices suck.

I am getting a bike when it hits $4.00
