I need to make a panic button that works from inexpensive materials for my scool project!any ideas?

wat d u actually mean by panix button??is it an emergency button pressin which triggers an alarm????

You need a shallow can, like cat food or tuna, some sponge or other soft foam, a board for mounting, three pieces of wire, one or more batteries, and a light or buzzer.
Cut the foam about 1/4th inch thicker than the depth of the can leaving a hole in the middle (like a thick donut) Fasten one piece of wire to the board so the bare end sticks up and is just below the foam's surface when resting. Fasten the other wire so the bare end runs up the side of the foam touching the can. Glue the foam to the board and fit the can on the foam. When you push down on the can (like a button), it makes the connection between the wires and when you let go, the foam pushes the can up, breaking the connection. Run the two wires off to the battery and signal device and use the third wire to connect them.
