Stop by a construction site and ask the builder. Most scrap he has to pay to dispose of. I'm sure he would be more than willing to give it to you. I do it all the time. It saves me money on my dumpsters.

Smaller construction sites that don't have contracts with salvage yards, small factories around the area the uses pallets, or, like I do, a lumber yard, it's costly but you also know what your getting and if your going to sell these items your customers are getting quality items.

Become a "dumpster diver" at construction sites. Just make sure it is legal where you live and PLEASE don't leave a mess and ruin this practice for the rest of us. I always ask first before starting. Some contractors will say no, take it for what it is and find another area.
