That should be around the right time for ovulation. Most people don't really know the "correct" information on this because they assume their cycle starts after they get off of their period. I'm a med. student and I just studied this last semester. If you got your period on the 10th, this is the Menstrual Phase or Phase one of your cycle. This should have lasted around 3 to 7 days. I'll say your period was five days long just to explain this. So on the 15th, your period stopped and you go into the Proliferative phase or phase two which lasts for 7 to 8 days. This is when the endometrium is starting to rebuild itself to prepare the environment for the fertilized egg. Ovulation occurs at the end of this phase which would put your ovulation between the 22nd and 23th normally, but this can always happen a little earlier or later. You can usually tell when a woman is ovulating because her temperature will be about one degree higher than normal. Then the Secretory phase or phase three lasts up to day 28 (or until menstruation starts and the cycle restarts). You should only be ovulating one time about a week to ten days after your period except in some cases such as twins. And since sperm can live inside of the vagina for up to 72 hours, you can get pregnant the day you are ovulating even if you had sex three days before that. Hope this helps you.

I'm a bit ancient so little bit rusty with all the new jargon, but here goes. It is said that most women ovulate 14 days BEFORE their period. But as all women are so different, it is possible to ovulate at irregular times during your cycle. There is a "system" called the Billings method which could assist in determining the exact day you could be ovulating. (rather accurate, even without the thermometre) Crack open a chicken's egg, and note the clear jelly like characteristics of the white of the egg. When a women ovulates her egg (ovum) also has similar characteristics, and placing this jelly like substance between your thumb and finger, will be a bit sticky! You are ovulating! Hope this helps.

April 10 would be day 1 of your cycle. Since you state that your next period would be May 10th and April had 30 days, I'm going to base my answer on you having a 30 day cycle (the first day of one cycle to the day before the first day of the next cycle). Most women ovulate halfway through their cycle so you divide the number of days in your cycle (30) by 2 (=15) and add that number to the first day of your last cycle. So April 10 plus 15 days would put the day you ovulate at about April 25. If your cycle is shorter than 30 days, then just adjust the math accordingly. If you used ovulation strips which put your ovulation a bit before the middle of your cycle then you may be a woman who ovulates a bit earlier in her cycle than most.
