A long time ago, Egyptian scribes would only use fractions of the form 1/N (except for 2/3).
Therefore, they would not have written 405/1000 or 81/200 as these fractions are not 'proper' for them.
This made arithmetic a lot of work.

Since .405 is 405 thousandths...it would be 405/1000...or if you want to simplify that in lowest terms...divided each by 5, and it would be 81/200.

0.405 means 4 tenths, 0 hundredths and 5 thousandths so
= 405/1000 , this will cancel down by dividing by 5
= 81/200
