Just go and smile. it will be over quickly. Its one day and if your mom says your going than I guess your going. This isnt the only time in your life your gonna have to do something you dont want to do.

Ask if you can bring a friend. It might help with the boredom. Plus there is usually free food and dancing which is always fun. Maybe there will be other people your age. Just make the best of it and later you might be able to say...Hey mom remember when I did this for you...can you do this for me (whatever that might be). Usually when you act mature your parents will treat you like you are and let you do more things.

Just suck it up and go. It won't kill you to be a little bored. I'm sure your mom didn't enjoy every single birthday party etc. she ever took you to when you were little. Show some respect for your mother and stop complaining about it. She's right and your wrong. She probably just said that about you being sick because she thinks you will try to fake an illness to get out of going. I'm sure if you are legitimately sick she won't make you go.

She shouldnt MAKE u go to something like that. Since it really has nothing to do with u. Unless when the people who r renewing their vows sent the invite they invited the whole family...if thats the case then its only right that u go...even if it does suck

Although it may be boring just remember that you mom is asking you to go with her. It's one day out of your life that would be a small favor that you would be doing for your mom. Im sure your mom has taken you places that she would not want to be for you. Did she complain? Suck it up, you just may have fun that day.

Sorry, but your Mom is correct. Sometimes we all have to go to things we'd just as soon skip, so you might as well get used to it. You'll enjoy it more if you go with a good attitude....you never know who you might meet at this event! So get all dressed up and look your prettiest......your friend might have a very cute nephew or something!

You need to do what your mom says and not all renewing of the vows are boring, I had mine on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean, Bahams I think, to druck to remember everything, and who knows you might find your soul mate there, so go and have a good time.

Just go. You never know who will be there! What if these people have a cute boy relative or something? Maybe you will find somebody interesting and cute to dance with! You never know! Would you want to miss out on a chance to meet new people? It's not going to last forever and you might actually have fun. If worst comes to worst sit there and people watch!

Don't be selfish. Think of all the things your mom has done for you that she really didn't want to do. Suck it up and just go. Who knows you might have fun.
