If it was Matty, one could accept it.
but this man, some of these shots .......
i dont know whether ICC checked him for some
"nandralin 'Test or some "banned substance"
that might have given that inhuman power.?
specially he was "a failure" in last few months
in the aspect of "hard hitting."
yes he managed some collection of runs
in some sporadic instances
it was quite a revelation of his power hitting squash ball,OK
then one could wonder other possibilities too
Do you think when "Gill" drank some fluids which
brought by Autralian reserved player,
might have given him this power hitting ability?
Do you think, next time should ICC check those fluids,
specially after some batsman "go- berserk" like him?
plz ,calm down before replying-specially Oz Fans?

Gichrist did illegal thing
me think when "Gilcriss drank some fluids which
brought by Autralian reserved player,
might have given him this big hitting power
Law 3 (6) (c) (i) specifically prohibits a player from using equipment other than that permitted. And nowhere in cricket’s 42 laws is there a mention of a squash ball as a permitted item.
sri lanka could have won under better circustances,
if it was a 50 over match
if the weather was better.
this was the only match in the world cup it wasnt 50 overs. they should have postponed it for the next day or a day the weather was good.
Ultimately....rain & light chaos prevented
Sri Lanka from winning the World cup 2007
still some fans demand srilakns
shut their mouth about this UNJUST....
what a joke.....
we dont worship Kangaroos
we worship ..god

You seem to think that he does this sporadically. it is definately not his best performance.
Did you see the 3rd Test Match at the WACA ground in Perth late last year. He scored 100 in 57 balls (1 off the record set by Viv Richards.
His average speaks for itself:
ODI - over 9000 runs, Average 36, 15 100's, 50 50's, top score 172
Test -over 5300 runs, Average 48.66, 17 hundreds, 24 50's and batting at 6 ot 7.
Just because everything in Asia is controlled by bookies and drugs does not mean that Australia cheat as well.
The question has to be asked, how did Sri Lanka get through to the final? Is Jayasiria on drugs, he is way too old to still be hitting the ball as well as he does. and when will Murali stop throwing the ball.

I'll take your question as having a bit of a LAUGH rather than a rant, but seriously did you get to see the innings Gilly played during the ashes against England in DEC last year-it was just as amazing 100 off 64 balls and just missed the record for the fastest test 100,
Gilly may have form slumps from time to time but the reason he has never been dropped is because of his ability to destroy bowling attacks, often when it matters most.

Gilchrist was not scoring heavily in recent times and he knew that he had to go all out for the final if he gets out cheaply then Australians won't take it serious as he was not in the best of form and they all knew it but if he manage to get some score it will be a bonus for Aussies and fortunately for him he played a gem of an innings and took the game away from lions. We, at least me , can not rule out the possibility of some banned drugs either as he is a human being too and every thing is possible in this world. I am sure if an Asian would have demonstrated such lusty hitting there would have been many to raise their fingers.

relax mate, the ICC for sure is not going to Investigate. If it was an Asian, Dozens of Tests could have been carried out.
Iam not suspecting the ability of Gilly but in the best Interest of the game he has to be checked that how did Gilly become a super Human in final.

he was exceptioonally gud
gilly has been a gud batsman but he hasd not had the chance to prove himself
dats y hayden was doing the job
one day dey decided to switch sides

the reason for the aussies winning is coz dey dun depemnd on any individual player
each one does his job wel
dats the prob wid otehrs
even jayawardane hit 115 in the semis
but jus 19 in the final
does dat mean he doped lat time?
no rite den pls dun critiscise such ppl
if u cant accpet dat a players gud u lack sportsmanshoip]
dats all ican say
n mind u im an Indian so i dun need to support the aussies
but seeing the way the aussies play one shd definitely accpet dat dey r jus wonderful
i think ausies r the best
gilly may not b deir ultimate player bu t he definitely helped in making then win
the final is over the winners r decided

Gillchrist is a good hitter but yes you are right he was not playing these days.....though a good player like him can bounce back any time......but even your possibility can not be ruled out !!but i think iCC won't be interested in that arguments now ...becuase Autralians have won the the title and it was Gilly who played the major role there...!!! and even if it is proven then too they have no rule available what to do afterward..its like calling for more troubles and they would definitely not like to get into such situation! !!Srilankans done their best and everyone know this....! yes if Gilly had not played that innings then situation would have been different but i would say there is no use to cry over the spilt milk! days are gone now ! see you can't realy help it !

Adam Gilchrist isknown to be ahard hitter. However, in the recentpasthe was not in his usualform and has not been scoring heavily. In the final of the worldcup he regained his usual form and started firing and there is nothing unusualin it.. It is spity that instead of apprecioating his batting, you are looking his batting with suspicion, which is totally unfair.
