It seems that my body is ALWAYS too tired to do anything. Even simple things like cleaning the house or even washing the dishes. Any suggestions?

first, go to a doctor and rule out any physical problems, such as chronic fatigue syndrome or mononucleosis. assuming you're in good health, exercise first thing in the morning. that gets your metabolism going. eat 5-6 small, healthy meals a day. that will keep your metabolism up. eat enough protein. drink lots of water.

If you're unusually fatigued, go get checked out by a doctor. But if you're trying to lose weight, you will likely get fatigued if you don't eat enough. I feel sluggish when I don't do any exercise. (The energy actually comes AFTER you make yourself get moving.) When I exercise regularly, the difference in my metabolism and overall energy level is amazing. Currently I bike to work 12 miles round trip, and with this daily habit I really can eat whatever I want and stay a healthy weight. I also like the suggestion of going for walks, b/c it doesn't feel too strenuous but does boost metabolism.

Among the best ways is exercise. This includes aerobic workouts to burn more calories in the short term, and weight training to build the muscles that will boost your metabolism in the long run.

While 30 minutes of aerobic exercise may burn more calories than 30 minutes of weight training.

Eat more often, and you'll lose more weight. Small, but frequent, meals help keep your metabolism in high gear, and that means you'll burn more calories overall.

All these foods may have a slight impact on metabolism, but the increase is still insignificant compared to what you need in order to lose weight."

Your best bet for keeping metabolism revved: Build muscles, snack on low-calorie, high-protein foods, and keep moving!

Is this something that just started happening or have you been feeling like this for a long time? If it started happening recently and you eat well and/or you live near woods, you should get tested for lime disease?

45 minutes of walking, or even better jogging , will energize you with no ill side affects. Start slow, build up slowly. ... you might also consider giving up potato chips, beer and soda.
