Great question! Can we be neither? Can I be against extreme environmentalism and against extreme population control? And anti-illegal immigration?
Because I am. I kind of wish we'd just get the government out of our lives, get the illegals out of our country and get some common sense about the environment.
Great answer, Artichik!

You're quite correct. It's a conflict of interest to posit these two together. Through education the entire population of the world should reconsider and evaluate the over-population of the entire earth. One of the reasons the US is allowing this flood of immigration, (including), illegals is to preserve the Social Security system. Illegals still contribute with fake ID and will never reap the benefits and the legals help to fortify the structure even as it's being used as a government "slush fund" to finance various overt and covert military and political agendas.

Seal the borders first!
But I like your question about population growth and environmentalism. I firmly believe that anyone who is sincerely passionate about the environment has a *responsibility* not to have children - talk about making a MAJOR environmental impact.

Hichefheidi asks "Can't we do both?"!!!
Well, yeah, but WHY would you want to? The fact is that if a person is pro-environment they must (logically) be anti-population growth. Duh!
Personally, I'm a LOT more pro-population growth than I am pro-environment. This country is gonna need that 100-150 million more people in 2050 when the Chinese are up on their hind legs and breaking bad on us.

The borders need to be closed.... completely.
Every public assistance program given to aliens needs to be terminated 3 months after that.
Next we need to give illegals 6 months to leave this country.
After that we begin criminal deportation proceedings against all those still here.
This country and its economy will not beable to support these people much longer.

I think if we just made the decision and went ahead and steralized all the liberals, we could focus on the borders. Kill many birds with a handfull of stones.
Edit::: No H.heidi. Abortion is for selfish reasons. But mass steralization for the purpose of controlling the liberal masses would be selfless. And we all know how tolerant and human-loving liberals are. They should make the sacrifice. Besides, they believe in abortion as birth control, so why not just go ahead and take the plunge? My idea is sound.

enviroment can only substain a finite number of people/animals. it becomes more limited the more we grow and carelessly destroy. i think the best way to control illegal immigration is by punishing those that hire, real punishment, not a slap on the wrist. the borders should be controlled, problem is the children in congress that only want to do things their way, without compromise. it will remain that way as long as our government is controlled by corporations and lobbyists
