I assume you mean for sex...absolutely.

I wouldn't recommend it for your car.

Absolutely. In a situation where the other varieties of lubricant are not close at hand, I mean in the heat of the moment, saliva has always and will always do. But remember, play safe!

Saliva is actually a low grade acidic solution used to help break down food before the digestive process begins. Keep in mind that it's mildly acidic, which is why your lips chap when you lick them too much. In retrospect it would actually have the opposite effect of a lubricant. Important thing to keep in mind, a dogs mouth is cleaner bacteria wise than a humans. Stock up on KY my friend, you will love the difference, trust me.

As long as you regularly clean your mouth with mouthwash, saliva - although not the best lubricant - is safe.

Its neither safe nor reliable. Hundreds and thousands of bacteria reside in your mouth and it is a poor substitute for a tube of KY Jelly.

Saliva should never be used as a reliable lubricant

you mean for sex? NO, it is loaded with bacteria, not to mention any viruses that person happens to have. If my lover wants to give me oral sex, I make sure that Listerine is used for five minutes prior to it. As a result, I never get bladder infections, nor do I get yeast infections.
