I finally found a video that I think describes transgender people so positively and beautifully...through the eyes of transgender children. I know someone posted a topic recently about the 20/20 documentary and thought I would add this as well.. please follow this link and give feedback..thanks.

I watched that Friday and felt so horrible for those children. How they are picked on for being different. They are very brave, that at such a young age, they were able to come forward, and say this isn't right. I wish them all the best in life and hope that society will accept them as their rightful gender.

I did however kind of laugh a little at the one dad. I thought he was going to have a heart attack while talking to Barbara, because he was sweating so hard & turning bright red.

I had already seen that video, you're right, it's a good vid, and I'd like to see that 20/20 doc too! Too bad I can't find it searching the net, however, I found this one on YouTube, seems cool, they're all ftm guys (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-rt1s2Oaz0 )

I'll be honest and say it didn't do me. The content was right, but it was so slow and shmaltzy that it left me a little flat. But there should be 1000's of things like this, so that people who respond to this style can get it. I really take a more "Parenting responsibilities" perspective, giving fact based information and reasurring people that they haven't failed their kid, and that the kid has a very good chance of a productive life with propper nurtuting. Some of that was eventually in there, but not for several minuts into it. I don't know. Differant strokes for differant folks-- I respond more to left-brain stuff. But thanks for sharring it.

That really was a beautiful video. It brought me to tears, for a few reasons. I hope that someday the world can move into a more accepting and understanding place. For sharing this video and the (thoughtful) question you posted earlier, in case no one has told you today, I Love You :)

I saw the 20/20 piece too. I thought it was very bittersweet. I think transgendered people go through a hell we can't even imagine.

WOW. Very educational. Gender is definitely more than a person's chromosomes. Thank you for sharing!

I don't have sound here at work. I'll watch when I get home! Of course, that might be a day or two....
