There are several jobs that can earn up to 1 million or even 2 million dollars a year. The majority of these jobs are based in the business, medical, or law field. First off, what people have to understand when they ask, "what jobs make the big bucks?" they have to realize, only an extremely small percentage of jobs in these fields can earn up to 1 million dollars a year. For example, only the top 2 percent of medical doctors in the U.S. make over 800, 000 dollars a year. This is why "making it big" in either the medical, law, or business field is extremely selective, and takes a large amount of hard work, talent, knowledge, and occasionally, luck. What people also have to realize is that when they do a web search for the average income of say, a Headhunter in the U.S., they are only looking at the average annual salaries of employed Headhunters for major companies, which is only about 80, 000 dollars a year, but the reality is, Headhunters who create big contacts, and who establish a successful business for themselves, can make over a million dollars a year. This also applies to medicine, law, and other forms of business. Do you really think a Plastic Surgeon who shares ownership in a private practice medical group is going to make an average of 300, 000 dollars a year? Absolutely not. These surgical specialists are capable of making over 2 million dollars a year if they establish a successful private practice, but don't forget, only the top 1-2% of medical doctors, lawyers, and business men, can make in between 600, 000 and 1, 000, 000 dollars a year in the U.S. Here I have compiled a list of all the jobs (sorted by field) that can make up to or even over 1 million dollars a year:

Financial Planners

Hedge Fund Managers

Investment banking. They get paid good money, however the bulk of their salary is made from bonuses. So say you become VP. Senior VPs can make 1 million in a good year. They also make 300k at worst. Not bad pay either way.

I have started an online business that certainly has the potential to bring in that kind of money. It's not really a "job", though, it is a business. That means there is no one signing a check every payday. With your own biz, what you earn is directly proportionate to the way you do your thing. If you are interested in an online business, there are many possibilities out there, but you have to make them happen yourself. Good luck!

You could become the CEO of a large corporation, a successful TV or movie star, a professional athlete with plenty of endorsements, the inventor of a popular product, the head of your own wildly successful business, an incredibly lucky investor, a really high profile attorney, the dictator of a country, or the head of a drug smuggling cartel.
