Well, The gorilla most probably have the ability to climb the cage better than the bear giving the gorilla the high ground advantage. The bear has huge claws that the gorilla doesn't. Both have substantial amount of hair, strength, and teeth. If I had to pick one I might go with the gorilla because of maneuverability. Tough one though.

Depends on what kind of bear.
a black bear loses
Brown bear, it's a toss up, but I think the bear would win; teeth and claws, is a predator
Grizzly and up; would just terrify the crap out of the gorilla, the fight would last about 30 secs after the bear caught it.

the gorilla would win. But yes, it would be abuse. And it's not a cool image to think of. And it also depends on what type of bear. Polar bears are really very vicious. Grizzlies can also bring out alot. Black bear, Brown bear, Kermode bear, Charlotte bear????
