My husband had a job at Walmart, and quit. Thinking he was getting a better paying job. But soon found out that was far from the truth. First he found out that it was a through a temporary service who does thorough criminal background check-before anyone goes there and says if he doesn't have anything to hide what's the problem? Unfortunately they go back 7 years and on the applications that u fill out they tell u to answer the questions truthfully other wise ur subject to firing. Yea, I understand that but its not like he's been in prison u mite of been arrested for traffic violations, but we're finding out if u tell the whole truth and nutin but the whole truth ur not going to have the advantage of being the one who is going to get hired. Now what?

he can always "eat a piece of humble pie" and go ask for his old job at walmart. if he was a good employee, they might give him a second chance.

This is a very good example of "don't burn your bridges". My Dad told me this way back in the day when I was 16 and worked part-time. If you are not happy with your job look for something else and secure a new position BEFORE you leave the one you have. You never know when you're going to need a job and you always want good references. Your husband has done some bridge burning. It's difficult to get good references when you quit a job. But - still it is important to remain honest on job applications. Sooner or later things will turn around for him - but patient and pray a lot! Good Luck!

Hopefully you have learned never to quit a job without having the other job confirmed.

Generally one is not arrested for a traffic violation. You are cited and that is it. If you were arrested then it was more than a simple traffic violation

I would suggest a similar retail store, maybe a moving company, fastfood, what are some of his other interests? post a resume on monster.com or careerbuilder.com and maybe options will be bigger there. im sorry for this, the same situation for my dad he had a lot of prison and jail time for a lot of different things mainly drugs--he now has a job at a video rental store making $9/hour. not bad i guess! lol

Be honest with yourself, Is he really looking? Some people can get into a pattern of" I'll do it tomorrow". I've been there.
I don't know where you live. but around here. If you can't get a job, no matter how small, your not looking.
