Yes, it works. If you want a girl, have intercourse as soon as you see ovulation mucus start coming out. That stuff will keep the girl sperm alive until your egg is released. If you want a boy, I would wait a couple of days past the mucus. Or you can take your temperature to see when you are actually ovulating. This book will really help: Your Fertility Signals. Get it at Ebay or Amazon.com. Or you can buy an ovulation kit. I have 3 kids and it worked for me. I have a boy and 2 girls, just what I wanted. You have to know your body pretty well, though. If you have fertility problems, you may not be producing much mucus. That kind of decreases your chances of having a girl (in my opinion). It seems like alot of people I know who have fertility problems but already have a child, have a boy or only boys. Good luck!

Yes, I've heard that. Although you're a bit mixed up. Ovulation is a singular event that happens and then is done (there is no early or late in ovulation). If you have sex a few days before you ovulate it will more likely be a girl because the female sperm live longer. If you have sex closer to your actual time of ovulation it is more likely to be a boy because male sperm swim faster.

IT is true. My friend and her husband have a girl and they wanted a boy. She read up about the whole sperm and ovulations deal. She said if you have sex a few days before ovulation it will be a girl because they swim slower but live longer, boys swim fater and die faster. So have sex closer to ovulation if you want a boy. She did and she now has a 4 month old baby boy. I totally believe it works.

This is referred to as the Shettles method for gender pre-determination. The theory is that female sperm live longer and male sperm swim faster so the best chance of having a girl is if you have intercourse just before ovulation... and to have a better chance at a boy you have intercourse during ovulation when the egg has dropped and is available for fertilization. I think there are actually certain positions associated with this method as well. Not sure how accurate is it though.

Scientists have noticed that there are differences between X sperm and Y sperm and tips to conceive a particular sex of children are based around these differences. Y sperm are faster, but tire more easily. They prefer alkaline conditions which are found higher in the vagina and are also created when a woman has an orgasm. X sperm are heavier and slightly slower swimmers, although they have greater stamina.

Yes, it's true but not fool-proof. You have the facts pretty straight. To find out more, Google "The Shettles Method".
Good luck-

I've heard it. I've also heard people testify that it works, others testify that it doesn't work, and even a few people say that it worked for one of their pregnancies, but not others.
So, I don't know if it works or not. I'm not planning to have kids, so I guess it doesn't really matter to me.
