I am a Native American and yes my culture allows gays and supports them. Going back 500 or so years ago before the Christians came. Gay men were revered for their wisdom and knowledge of both sides of nature --male and female side. They were peace chiefs, counselors and they were trusted in taking care of the children when the men and women went off to war. Gay men often gave counseling to straight couples cause they could understand both sides. Gays were not only accepted but was considered part of everyday life. When the soldiers would come back from war they would have sex with gay men as well as well as women. This wasn't an unusual practice. Then Christians came along and forced their morals or massacred my people. Today, in some tribes it is accepted. There is too much blending of Christianity and the teachings of the tribe. They are called Christian Native Americans and aren't true native Americans cause they do not follow the ways of the ancestors. My tribe accepts it. I have been offered a Cherokee wedding by my Chief when I am ready for it. Cherokee weddings have more meaning than Christian weddings. We tell things to our partner at a ceremony that you tell no one but your life partner. After all there is someone things that are only met to be between 2 people. My tribe is very open and accepting. It just doesn't allow the blending of religion and the culture/ teachings of the old ways to keep the original teaches pure and uncorrupted by religion. The Western Cherokee Nation is Oklahoma has declared that it won't marry gays, but not all Chiefs follow what they decree. They have lost their way and blend too much Christianity with what they teach. So it depends solely on the tribe and what they teach. I am told that most do. I have a good friend that is Navajo and he tells me that his tribe accepts it as well.

a million. Wiccan 2. Bisexual 3. Approve. Or extra appropriately, settle for as a healthful and organic sexual orientation. Human heritage and present day research shows that homosexuality is a organic area of the human species, in basic terms because it truly is specially different animal species.

I'm a baptist, and no I don't think most of the Baptist people approve of homosexuality. But I'm not one of them. I support the right for people to be happy with who they are.

I truly believe that you are born with homosexuality. It happens in the womb. Do I understand it? Not totally, but what really is there for me to understand.

My brother is gay. I knew as a child that he was not like most boys. There is not one person out there in this world that can talk me into believing that he decided to be gay at the age of 5. He was born the way God intended for him to be. I love him, and I am proud of who he is. God does not make mistakes, he loves all of his creations as equally as the next.

I'm Atheist, we generally don't have anything against homosexuality but we can't be blamed for some of our more closed-minded brethren.

Every religion will have people who bend the rules a little.

I am straight and fully initiated into the Catholic Church, but I disagree with several viewpoints. The Catholic Church strongly frowns upon homosexuality, saying that it is intrinsically disordered. I DESPISE THIS ATTEMPT AT A TEACHING. This is not a real teaching, but just an ignorant excuse. Personally, I fully support the LGBT with all my heart.

My beliefs are much more similar to the Episcopalian Church than the Roman Catholic church.

I'm Wiccan.

Does it [Wicca] approve of homosexuality? I wouldn't use the word approve, approve implies promotion of such, I would say that Wicca really doesn't care what your sexual preference is, I know I don't care who you choose to sleep with.

Do I support homosexuality? What's to support? I mean I really don't care if some one is gay or not, it really doesn't bother me.

i was raised roman catholic and they are staunchly against homosexuality. personally i believe the bible is an interpretation of a translation, and that God only said ten things so important he put them in stone, and i dont remember a commandment that says thou shalt not love another of the same sex. i couldn't care less either way, but what i dont want to see is homo or hetero pawing each other on the streets.
btw i'm hetero
side note: alot of guys like the idea of women being together, personally i only dislike lesbians on saturday nights-- that's when they're my competition. ; ) lol

Since I am a lesbian I obviously support homosexuality. I also choose not to subscribe to organized religion. It seems strange to me that something that is supposed to believe in the same things and the same "supreme being", would argue so much, about everything. So I stay uninvolved, I worship in my own home, in my own way :)
