Pure? It would be a gas, is that what you mean (anhydrous HCl)? Density is about 1.00045 to 1.51 kg / m^3, depending on the pressure.

I have never heard of a concentration above 40% in water. A solution of 38% HCl is about 1.189 kg / m^3. That's fuming HCl -- very dangerous, extremely corrosive.

Pure HCl is a gas, so has a density considerably less than 1! It's Mr is 36.5, so it is slightly more dense than air.
