If i could have any wild animal...
well, if i could make it behave.. I'd have a marmoset.. those tiny little monkeys! they are adorable!
but.. being a wildlife rehabilitator and rescuer of unwanted "domestic" wild animals.... I know wild animals belong in the wild..
but for some.. they have no choice but to be here with me..
a domestic skunk runaway now has a wonderful life here..
a domestic raccoon lives in the house also.
a Coatimundi... unwanted pet
A opossum w/ metabolic bone disease ( her rescuers fed her wrong formula)
an adorable gray squirrel ( never got teeth!)
the only one caged is the squirrel.. and she does get her free time out. :)
I have a red fox kit who will be free next year... shes just a tiny baby now..
A Red Tailed Hawk.. HBC.... he will released in a couple months.. his wing is broke.
2 baby squirrels.. fat and sassy... they will go soon also..
I love releasing them... such happy little things. :)

I have several wild animals as "pets", thought I'd never recomend it for anyone. They were non-releaseable rehabbed animals. To the person above who said it'd be easy if you raised a tiger from a baby- WRONG. They're expensive and can turn on you even if you hand raise. Any wild pet can. I've lost count of the injuries I've had. But in any case, given a chance I'd love to adopt an unwanted mid sized big cat like a serval, caracal or ocelot.

A wolf, but wait, I had one years ago and now have a wolf hybrid. We also had a family of bobcats living under our home for 3 years. We respected that they were wild and never tried to touch them except for my son who though he was petting one our cats that he found to be sleeping next to the shed. Well he realized it was a bobcat baby when the tail was too short for any of our cats. It was shaded where the bobcat was and he doesn't have real good vision even with glasses. The baby just ran back under the house to join the family. The male who mainly stayed across the street at the neighbor's pond area would always watch my oldest son work on mowers from another neighbor's tree and just kinda grumble at him, he never tried to approach my son and my son would work and talk to him. We have 14 cats, a goat and a red sheep, but they never tried to go after them either. This year they never came back in the fall like the past three years and I fear they were either trapped and relocated by the wildlife department or hunted. A wildlife agent knew they were living under our home so either is a possibility.

Oh boy, I would love a wolf, too! They are so beautiful...for real, I'd like to own a wolf hybrid someday.
Other animals: I would not mind a tapir-they are strange and I, at least, think they're cute. They look like a prehistoric mammal, but are in fact very close cousins to horses!
Or a bongo - they are the most gorgeous antelopes: red with white stripes running down their bodies. (Go to the link below to see them!)

TIGER. Ever seen Aladdin? Yeah, that's what I want. I don't think it would be that hard if you raised it from birth. Then it would be domesticated and not some ferocious man-eating beast. Though imagine what an awesome guard"dog" it would be? You're a burglar coming to rob some house and a tiger runs up and growls at you. You're outta there!
