Out of the options you provided I have to go with Cole Hamels. But in all of baseball I have to say Johan Santana.

Jake Peavy or Francisco Liriano. Best young closer is with out a doubt Jonathan Pappelbon. And y not say Dice K, the guy has a huge arsenal of different pitches.

hamels is number 1 with king felix as 1A. they are both amazing and will be around for a very long time, barring any unfortunate injuries or deaths.jake peavvy is pretty sweet too, jered is a bit iffy-hes only good because of the team hes on. felix has no one to back him up on that crappy team we know as the mariners and as for hamels,he has some help for fun support but not a whole lot.

Even though he's currently undergoing surgery I think I'd still have to say Francisco Liriano. Here's a guy who in his rookie season challenged Johan Santana for they Cy Young. Granted the surgery is a question mark, but if he comes all the way back from Tommy John witch about 70% of pitchers do. He's the best young pitcher in baseball.

Have to say Cole Hamels, he's in the league lead in Strikeouts and in only his second season in the majors he's already his teams Ace.

In the majors right now I would say that Matt Cain of the Giants looks pretty dominating. Tom Linnecum is a triple A pitcher right now who will be a name to remember in the future.

My 2 choices would be Felix Hernandez and Rich Harden. The only problem with that is they can't stay healthy.

Rich Hill for the Cubs - John Danks for the White Sox.

Has to be Felix Hernandez from Seattle or Liriano from Minnesota to bad both are hurt.

Felix Hernandez (but staying healthy is starting to become very worrisome). Santana will be in the Cy Young race every year.
