it's been said, for those who have an addiction to blood, or who find excitement in bleeding, tend to have a strong addiction towards chocolate. addiction here not meaning craving, but the literal meaning, as in you need to have it, if not you will feel empty..

The only link to blood and chocolate that I know of, is in black-and-white movies. In black-and-white movies, chocolate syrup is used as blood, because the color (shade of gray) and texture are identical.

Maybe that has something to do with it. For some red-color-blind person, they couldn't tell the difference between blood and choc. syrup in color and texture. (Of course, the taste would be very different.)
