If it is a person that is genuinely comming here to grow in knowledge, then I intend to help them,
If it is just a bunch of people joking around then I intend to make someone smile.
Who cares about the points, it's not like you can turn them into money......

I am not a whore of any kind. It depends on the question. If it sounds like someone is struggling with a real problem, I do try to help.
Some people post funny questions just to get a funny response. Same way with sarcasm and irony.
I don't really think about the points. Answers is a distraction for me, one that is really needed. I didn't make up the point system, and I don't really care about it all that much.
I like it if I'm chosen as the best answer, but it isn't going to change my life one way or the other.

I've actually answered this question by another user. Actually, I answer in hope of helping someone out. It's good to get different points of views. That's why I like Answers so much.
If I happen to get a few points along the way, well then good.
But I am not a two point whore.

-Depends on the question. If the question is serious I answer to help that person out. Most questions on P&S is not serious and I answer because it's a fun question or for the points. -

It all depends on the question.
If someone says, "I punched myself in the head, now I have a headache. Should I be tested for cystic fibrosis?"
Then I'll shoot for a two-pointer.
However, if someone genuinely wants to know something, I answer with sencerity... like now.
