What I'd want to know FIRST is, if I did have the opportunity to know when and how, would that give me the power to change it? I mean, if you knew what was going to happen in the next ten minutes, it then becomes a choice right? If someone says, "You will be shot in front of your house in the next ten minutes" I can change the course of the future by leaving the house. But no, I wouldn't want to know, to answer your question. That's a good one!

You know I think it depends on your mood..
Sometimes you want to know other times you would not.
But I look at it this way a baby has no clue when its growing inside of its mother that in 9 months time it will have to squeeze its entire self out of 10 centimeters, into a cold lighted enviroment with strangers all around that fuss and you hear voices differently. A baby is totally upset when it gets born! Just imagine if the child had a choice!
So we aren't told when and how we are going to die, cause we are thinking individuals. What we think will happen and how we might handle it isn't the same as when we are handling it. true?

No, because what if it's really soon and I'd know there's no way I'll ever live out my long term goals - my dreams.
When it comes it comes, but I rather live my life thinking I'll live to a ripe old age so I put away my money, invest in the stock market. We all take so much for granted, but we can seriously just die tomorrow.
That person you drive by in the fatal car wreck had no idea was going to die that morning when he woke up - as it should be.

For me if i know when i will die, i feel very very happy. Because i can do the things that are pending before i am going to die and i can meet all the persons that i have to, like that i will do all my things.
But its foolish, we invite or we may not invite death will definetly knock our door once in a life. even if u accept it or may not. But waiting for it is foolishness. ok. I think u r not that kind. Be brave and think about anything else. ok. Don't mind.

I just live my life assuming I am immortal. If I should happen to die, I'll be the most surprised person on the planet. No, I would not want to know.

Does the question even make sense? Because knowing the details would cause me to initiate certain behaviors to act to prevent it - like If I knew I'd get lung cancer and die in Boston, I'd never smoke and get screened every year for cancer and never go to Boston! And something would still get me, but hopefully much later.
Does the question depend on my accepting my "fate"? Because I don't believe in fate.

No way!
It would ruin your life! Because then death would be ALL you'd think about!
Now, if I knew it was going to be painful, then maybe, yeah.
