I agree! He was very brave, but it paid off. I think it was by the far the performance of the season. He did what every other contestant failed to do: Went against the grain, took a song that is by far one of the best ever sung, and made it his own. GREAT JOB BLAKE!!!!

I think you mean "COVER", not "remix". A cover song is where someone other than the original artist sings the song ... whether they do they own lil' thizzang to it is irrelevant.
There's no such thing as a "live" remix. A remix would be Bon Jovi - You Give Love (A Bad Name) [Jason Nevins Funky Club Mix], wherein some producer would take the recording of the original song and take elements of it and reform it into a new animal.
Not being too picky, but ... c'mon, man. Get it right! See, and no one else in this thread knows enough or gives enough of a crap to correct you ... American Idol SUCKS.

I thought he did a great job. I like the song done that way, with a little beatboxing put in there. He likes to make a song his own and does it well

I really enjoyed it...it was tastefully arranged and the beatboxing wasn't overdone. He's my favorite of the guys..
But Melinda is just a league of her own..I hope she wins it.
