The higher the amplitude, the louder the sound. Frequency determines the tone.

If the wave are the same amplitude (loudness or volume) then higher freq. = higher energy. A foghorn has a lower freq sound than my watch, but more energy because it's so much louder.

For sound waves, energy is not dependant on frequency.

For electromagnetic waves it is different -- higher frequency is higher energy, but for sound waves it depends on the power in the source (loudspeaker, etc.).
