No points for stars. But if you get a "Best Answer", each thumbs up on that answer gives you one extra point.

I've been getting extra points for the thumbs up, I'm not sure about the stars.

Stars are useless. Bragging rights only. Thumbs up can get you up to 50 points for best answers. The more thumbs up you get when picked best answer, the more points you get.

i think u get points for stars, but not until the question is closed, same with thumbs ups....

Thumbs up are supposed to give you extra points if your answe is chosen as best.
Stars help you find a question you liked (if you give it a star).
